18th Annual Jay's Hope Trek or Treat Road Race

The 18th Annual Trek or Treat Road Race will include three races: a 5K Run/Walk, an unSpooky Sprint,  and a Candy Mile (where children under 13 years of age will have a chance to trick or treat for 35,000 pieces of candy.

All three races will start at the Bass Pro Shops in Macon and everyone is encouraged to wear Halloween outfits and there will be a costume contest as well.

The 5K Run/Walk will start at 8:00 a.m., will be chip timed whose route will leave Bass Pro and travel down New Forsyth Rd. and into Monroe county before returning to Bass Pro. 

The unSpooky Sprint will start at 8:30 a.m. and Halloween costumes are encouraged. Children 12 years and younger who run the spring will also recieve a free entry to the Candy Mile.

The Candy Mile will start at 9:00 a.m. and will include 20 stops to gather as much candy as possible.

The price for the 5K Run/Walk is $30: you will receive a Trek or Treat shirt, official 2024 race bib, and chip timing. 

The price for the unSpooky Sprint (a 1 mile fun run) $18: racers will receive a Trek or Treat shirt, an official 2024 race bib, and a finisher’s medal. 

The price for the Candy Mile (for children ages 2 -13 years of age) is $15: racers will receive a Trek or Treat shirt, an official 2024 race bib, and a Jay’s HOPE trick or treat bag. Strollers, dogs, children over the age of 13/adults do not need to pay (but children over 13 are requested not to gather candy)

If you would like to be a Ghost Runner, meaning you can’t run the race, but still want to support a good cause, the cost is $25 and you will receive a Trek or Treat shirt mailed to you.

Packet pick up will be held at the entrance to Bass Pro Shops on Friday, October 27th from 12 to 7 pm as well as on the day of the race  at the packet pick up tent starting at 7:00 a.m.

Jay's Hope's mission is "to improve the quality-of-life of children with cancer and their families in Georgia by extending HOPE through social, emotional, spiritual, educational and financial support".
