Macon Pride this year will feature events celebrating inclusivity and community in Macon from Thursday, September 25th through Sunday, September 28th. The theme of the 2025 Macon Pride is “Seen, Heard, Celebrated."
The first Macon Pride took place in 2019 after Scott Mitchell, local business owner and philanthropist, partnered with individuals as well as local businesses/organizations to bring a pride festival to the heart of Georgia.
The annual event will include events like the Lively Libations Social on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by an evening of karaoke in Third Street Park that starts at 6 p.m.
On Friday night, September 26th, the HAUS Party drag show will take place at the Capitol Theater. with entertainers from “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” putting on an energy-filled show. Entertainers that will appear include Mistress Isabel Brooks and Daya Betty, Christina Leon, Yutoya Avaze Leon, Akasha Giselle Vidalle, Pynk Univers, Naja Iman Supreme, Eddie Bull, Hellacia Thee Diva, and the Vixens. Pride in the Park takes place on Saturday, September 27th at Downtown Macon's Third Street Park from 2 to 8 p.m. Attendees can shop from a variety of food and goods vendors, enjoy live entertainment, community yoga, and more. This year there will be brand new accommodations for neurodivergent attendees at Hello Boba Cafe and The Bohemian Den from 2 to 4 p.m. at “The Still Point.”
The official afterparty for Macon Pride will happen at JBA Macon starting at 9 p.m.
The 2025 Macon Pride concludes on Sunday, September 28th, with an Interfaith Worship and Family Picnic in Coleman Hill Park from 4 to 6 p.m. This family-friendly event will include a multi-faith service with live music, food trucks, and games.
Throughout the festival this year, the Tubman Museum will be hosting the Pioneers and Trailblazers Photo History Exhibit, which honors 22 LGBTQ+ leaders whose work positively impacted the Middle Georgia region. The portable community art installation called Unity Project will also be on display at the Tubman Museum, and will show how the LGBTQ+ community is different and how it is the same as the heteronormative community.
