The James Webb Space Telescope will then travel on a "30-day, million-mile journey" to the second Lagrange point (L2). The second Lagrange point is an area in space where gravity from multiple sources will help keep the satellite in orbit around the sun. It will stay in line with the Earth as it orbit which will help protect it from the sun's "light and heat" according to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
