Fans of the television show Parks and Recreation will recognize Galentine's Day as having come from the comedy show to describe a party Leslie (played by Amy Poehler) throws for her female friends. This year there will be multiple Galentine's day events as well as more romantic events (and one event for those who aren't fans of the sappiness of Valentine's Day at all).

Friday, February 9th

Artspace Macon will host a Galentine’s Sweet or Spicy Card-Making Art Night starting at 6:30 p.m. Those who attend will be invited to create either sweet or spicy Valentine’s Day cards, take a picture with a selfie wall, do crafts, and more.
