Expect chilly weather conditions to start the week, especially on Monday night, with some higher temperatures in the mid to high 60s by the weekend, according to the National Weather Service's weather forecast. This week the interstellar comet 3I/Atlas (which some claim is an extraterrestrial ship) will make its closest approach to Earth before speeding away from our planet forever. The following is a day-by-day forecast for the weather this week in the heart of Georgia.

3I/Atlas: Interstellar visitors to our solar system are either rare or have rarely been noticed by astronomers. 3I/Atlas is one such interstellar traveller, thought by most to be a comet, and is only the third such object documented to pass through our solar system. Interestingly, Harvard researchers, led by controversial astrophysicist Avi Loeb, has theorized that it could be an "intelligently controlled alien spacecraft" due to its unusual trajectory and how fast it is traveling. It won't be getting that close to Earth, though: at its closest, 3I/Atlas will still be roughly 170 million miles away, which is more than 700 times further than the moon.
