This week's event lineup will include lots of live music, a storytelling event in Rosa Parks Square/Grant's Lounge, and a chance to make a house fit for a fairy at Macon's The Rose Room. If you are a fan of punk music, a concert will be held at Fresh Produce Records on Tuesday. The following are just a few of the more interesting (and often free) things to do this week in the heart of Georgia. If you would like to see even more unique events taking place this week, become a member of Middle Georgia Times' new Substack.

TUESDAY, March 10th

  >> A Walk in the Park from Storytellers Macon at Rosa Parks Square and Grant’s Lounge (5:30-6:30 p.m.)

This Storytellers Macon event is a bit different than the rest, starting at the newly renovated Rosa Parks Square at 5:30 p.m. for a one hour “storytelling walk” before the normal programming at Grant’s Lounge, courtesy of Reimagining the Civic Commons initiative for Public Spaces Week. During the walk, attendees will get a chance to learn more about their Middle Georgia friends and neighbors. Afterward, at historic Grant’s Lounge, featured storyteller Margaret Peth will tell a true story, along with others brave enough to sign up. Peth is the co-lead of the Reimagining the Civic Commons Initiative/Operations Manager of the Macon-Bibb Urban Development Authority, and she will share her excitement for public spaces, according to Storytellers Macon. A Walk in the Park is free and open to the public.
