This weekend includes the last chance to enjoy festivities and music at the International Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, chances to find deals at the Historic Macon Foundation’s annual Spring Flea Market, lots of live music, unique celebrations of Easter, and much more. Macon’s professional hockey team, the Macon Mayhem, will also be playing two games against the Knoxville Ice Bears for sports fans. The following are just a few of the fun, interesting, and often free things to do this weekend in the heart of Georgia.
FRIDAY, March 27th
>> Photos with the Easter Bunny at M.E. Roden Memorial Library in Hawkinsville (3-5 p.m.)
The weekend begins with a chance to get a picture with the Easter Bunny at M.E. Roden Library in Hawkinsville. Attendees will also be entertained by a balloon twister, ,along with a chance to enjoy snacks, cold beverages, and possibly win something in a free giveaway. This family-friendly event from SunMark Community Bank and M.E. Roden Memorial Library is free and open to the public.

>> SHOPPING: Downtown Eatonton Farmer’s Market (5-8 p.m.)
Shoppers will find fresh produce, baked goods, and handcrafted items sold by local vendors at the Downtown Eatonton Farmer’s Market this Friday. The Downtown Eatonton Farmer's Market is free to attend.

>> SHOPPING: Historic Macon Spring Flea Market (3/27-/3/29) (5 p.m.)
Historic Macon Foundation will kick off its 3-day-long Spring Flea Market with VIP shopping for members of the preservation organization on Friday night. Members will receive 15% off their purchases during the Spring Flea Market (and memberships start at $50 a year). The flea market continues on Saturday and Sunday this weekend, and will include a warehouse full of everything from artwork to toys. The Historic Macon Foundation’s Spring Flea Market is free and open to the public on Saturday and Sunday.

The Macon Mayhem will take on the Knoxville Ice Bears during Cherry Blossom Night this Friday. Expect to see the Mayhem dressed in tribute to the iconic pink that can be seen in cherry blossoms all around Macon right now. Doors will open at 6 p.m., the puck drops at 7 p.m., and the Mayhem will be wearing specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game. On Saturday, hockey fans can also celebrate the birthday of the Mayhem’s mascot, Mac, at Mac’s Birthday Bash as they once again face off against the Ice Bears. Tickets to the Friday game start at $17.35 online.

>> MUSIC: Choir of Babble, Shy Company, FieldHockey, Catch These Hands, and Blue at Reverb Room in Warner Robins (7 p.m.)
This Friday night, GMO Productions and The Reverb Room will present a night of electrifying live music from Choir of Babble, Shy Company, FieldHockey, Catch These Hands, and Blue. The Reverb Room is a fairly new, all-ages DIY venue for metal, hardcore, punk bands, and more. Ticket prices for this all-ages show cost $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

>> MUSIC: The International Cherry Blossom Festival presents The Open Seas at Carolyn Crayton Park in Macon (8 p.m.)
Macon's The Open Seas will perform in Carolyn Crayton Park this Friday to start the last weekend of the 2026 International Cherry Blossom Festival in Carolyn Crayton Park. The ‘80s metal tribute band Great White Lion Snake will perform at the festival on Saturday evening. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to relax during the concert. Entry to the International Cherry Blossom Festival costs $10 every day at the gate, with children 10 and under getting in free.

>> MUSIC: Crews & Company at The Hummingbird in Macon (9:30 p.m.-1 a.m.)
Crews & Company is an Atlanta-based rock and roll band who will perform at Downtown Macon’s The Hummingbird this Friday night. The band will be celebrating the release of their debut album Good Things Take Growing Pains and playing new music from the band’s studio sessions at the Capricorn Sound Studios and Museum. The Hummingbird will charge a $5 cover for this show at the door.

SATURDAY, March 28th
>> SHOPPING: Spring Fling ’26 at Bolingbroke Antiques & Mercantile in Macon (10 a.m.-3 p.m.)
Bolingbroke Antiques & Mercantile will host Spring Fling ’26 this Saturday, with outdoor vendors, new inventory, door prizes, and samples offered inside the store. This shopping event is free to attend.

>> Cherry Blossom Food Truck Frenzy and Cherry Market in Downtown Macon (3/28-3/29) (10 a.m.-7 p.m.)
The Cherry Blossom Food Truck Frenzy and Cherry Market will take place this Saturday and Sunday on Downtown Macon’s Third Street and Cherry Street as part of the 2026 International Cherry Blossom Festival. Visitors will enjoy “food trucks from around the South.” A variety of commercial vendors will also be selling unique items at the Cherry Market, while DJ Laura Starling will entertain attendees. These family-friendly events are free and open to the public.

The Mulberry Street Arts and Crafts Festival returns to Downtown Macon this Saturday and Sunday. This popular, family-friendly event features many types of vendors offering artwork, furniture, and much more. The Mulberry Street Art & Crafts Festival is free to attend.

>> 5th Annual CBF Isekai Anime & Esports Convention at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame and Tubman Museum in Macon (3/28-3/29) (10 a.m.)
The CBF Isekai Anime & Esports Convention takes place this Saturday and Sunday at both the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame and the Tubman Museum in Downtown Macon. Attendees can expect cosplay contests, a Maid Cafe from Hello Boba Cafe, gaming tournaments, special guests, live panels, an exhibit of Itasha Cars (which are cars decorated with images of anime, manga, or video game characters), wrestling, vendors, and more. Tickets to the CBF Isekai start at $25 online.

The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance at The Velveteen Market & Craft Fair this Saturday in Milner. Attendees can shop with craft vendors, both inside and outside, enjoy meals from food trucks and dessert vendors, network with local businesses, while kids can play on inflatables and visit an on-site petting zoo. This family-friendly event is free to attend.

>> City of Perry’s Special Needs Community Egg Hunt (11 a.m.)
City of Perry will hold its 8th Annual Special Needs Community Egg Hunt at Rozar Park on Saturday. This event is presented by Perry’s Leisure Services Special Events. In case of rain, this event will move indoors to the park’s Worrall Center. stARTup Studios will host a Battle of the Bands competition this Saturday in Downtown Macon. Local musicians will perform original songs for patrons, while a panel of judges scores each band’s performance. The crowd’s reaction will help one band win an Audience Choice award. Tickets for Battle of Bands cost $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

>> Mercer University Theatre’s Dragon’s Dream: Circanium in Macon (3/28-3/29) (8-9:30 p.m.)
An exciting performance from Mercer University Theatre will take place this Saturday and Sunday night in the historic Mercer Quad. Described as a mix of “circus skills, Dungeons and Dragons, giant puppets, original music, dance, flow arts, and fire,” these shows are sure to be interesting. Dragon’s Dream: Circanium features the Arcane Alliance as they travel through the land of Circanium, on the way to fight an actual dragon. Before both performances at 7:30 p.m., a procession of the show’s human characters, along with giant puppets, will parade through Mercer Village on the way to the quad. Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs/picnic blankets. Dragon’s Dream: Circanium is free and open to the public.

>> Indigenous Foods and Cultural Rematriation: Mother’s Earth’s Holistic Healing through Reconnection at the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park in Macon (2 p.m.)
Native Chef Anthony Warrior will give a presentation about his journey to becoming a chef and ways in which people can reconnect with food this Sunday afternoon. Warrior’s journey to eating healthier led him to team up with the Santee branch of the Nebraska Indian Community College to develop healthy eating courses and teach about Indigenous-based eating, according to a 2024 article from Nebraska Public Media. Warrior will give his presentation in the visitor center’s theater, so space is limited. This event is free and open to the public.

>> Easter Family Day at Morris Bank Recreation Complex in Gray (4-6 p.m.)
Gray Community Church’s celebration of its Easter Family Day at Morris Bank Recreation Complex will include a helicopter dropping 30,000 eggs from the sky. There will also be inflatables, food trucks, and egg hunts for children (through 5th grade). This family-friendly event is free to attend.

>> MUSIC: AJ the DJ at the Cherry Blossom Festival (7 p.m.)
Middle Georgia’s AJ the DJ will be the last performer at this year’s International Cherry Blossom Festival this Sunday. Due to the performer not being able to perform due to inclement weather during past festivals, AJ the DJ both opened and will close this year’s festivities in Carolyn Crayton Park with a dance party for kids from 4 to 6 p.m. and a dance party for adults starting at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to relax during the concert. Entry to the International Cherry Blossom Festival costs $10 every day at the gate, with children 10 and under getting in free.

> Monday, March 30th through Friday, April 3rd, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.: Storybook Crawl in Historic Downtown Perry: The Storybook Crawl invites families to read a story from participating businesses’ shop windows while strolling through historic Downtown Perry.
> Friday, April 3rd, 12-11:45 p.m.: Downtown Macon’s April First Friday. Various businesses and restaurants will offer special deals and events, art lovers will partake in an Art Crawl to various art galleries around Downtown Macon, while live music from Trombone Love will be in the air near J. Reid’s Tavern, and The Ritmo Soul Band will be performing at The Bohemian Den from 6 to 8 p.m.
