PLANTS: Warner Robins Native Plant Center Opens February 5th and Sells a Wide Variety of Native Plants
The Warner Robins Native Plant Center (WRNPC) is a collaborative initiative between Keep Warner Robins Beautiful and Georgia Military College that promotesnative plants for landscaping and gardening because of the important role they play in sustainable ecosystems. Native plants help provide better stormwater management, habitats, food sources, and they can be easily used for landscaping purposes as well.
WRNPC presents a seminar series each year, with February's session focusing on pruning fruiting trees and shrubs. Eleanor Freeman will be the lecturer for this month's seminar.
If you are looking for plants, or need advice from an experience gardener, WRNPC offers a wide variety of plants for sale (with a deal of buy 1 get 1 free on some plants). You can receive a free PDF of WRNPC's latest inventory by entering your email address on this page.
Plants available include ferns, vines, trees, shrubs, perennials, and grasses, many with interesting names such as Blue Ice Bluestar, Savannah Blazing Star, Florida Doghobble, Grey Owl Juniper, and Lady Fern.
