Artist and furniture building Ric Geyer, who is also the founder of Triangle Arts Macon, will showcase his artwork in Mercer's McEachern Art Center when it presents the opening of the art exhibit "Progression."

"Progression" will be an immersive exhibition that will display the artwork of Geyer from pieces created during his childhood to his current body of work, according to the art gallery.

The first gallery space will contain Geyer's completed works along with written narratives and photographs documenting Geyer’s impact in Detroit, Atlanta, and Macon.

The second gallery space that will be created for "Progression" will highlight the furinture created by Geyer’s company, “Val Kill,” which was originally founded in 1926 by former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt.

"Progression" is free and open to the public.

Geyer also built this colorful and creative headboard that was on display at one of his previous shows at the Macon Arts Alliance (Photographer Nate Weeks)
