Are you a nature enthusiast who is seeking to find the ideal outdoor recreation activity to introduce school-age children to in 2025? If so, then Family Fun Day & Fishing Jamboree is the child-oriented, family-focused event you will not want to miss. The event will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Camp Grace, a beautiful 455-acre camping facility for underprivileged children that has three lakes and is located in the City of Roberta.
Family Fun Day & Fishing Jamboree will be free to attendees and open to the entire public, but a parent(s) or legal guardian must accompany their child(ren) throughout the day. While we expect several hundred people to travel to Roberta for the day-long event, only the first 200 children to arrive (between the ages of 5 years old to 18 years old) will receive a free rod & reel combo in exchange for bringing two canned food items per child. (We plan to donate the canned food items to a local food bank and a shelter program). Activities for the day will include free fishing for children (ages 5 to 18) at any of the three lakes on the grounds of Camp Grace, swimming in the resort-size pool, ziplining, wall climbing, horseback riding, bounce houses (for younger children), and more!
Attendees of any age will also have an opportunity to participate in on-site mobile unit screenings/testing for important health topics like prostate cancer, breast cancer, diabetes, and hypertension - in addition to basic dental services (cleanings, fillings, and/or extractions) provided by licensed health professionals at Family Fun Day & Fishing Jamboree. Doing so will enable several people to receive a free medical check-up and/or services.
A free raffle drawing will also take place that will allow a few lucky attendees the chance to win several items like camping and grilling products, home appliances, gift cards, or a couple of ATV/4-wheelers! Free food will be provided by Camp Grace and corporate sponsors.
There will be something appealing to everyone. So, all kids between 5 years old to 18 years old should bring a fishing pole and a cooler or bucket to carry their fish home to clean/cook. Come dressed and prepared to enjoy the great outdoors, ziplining, wall climbing, horseback riding, and more, but also bring your towel, swimming suit & Flip flops! We’re going to have fun in Middle Georgia and your family is invited to join us!
