MONDAY, MARCH 6

Mindfulness Monday Meditation at The Bohemian Den (12 p.m.)

The Bohemian Den will have its second free mindfulness meditation session this Monday at noon. Studies have shown mindfulness can lower blood pressure, improve sleep, and help reduce pain (and maybe even make Mondays easier to get through).

     The Bohemian Den is located at 502 Cherry Street in Macon.

TUESDAY, MARCH 6

Full Moon Yoga on Coleman Hill (6 p.m.)

This yoga class will be taught by Amber Valentine, Bertram Tulloch, Chantell Grant, and Idah Jennings on Coleman Hill while a full moon slowly rises over Downtown Macon. This yoga class is for all levels of experience. Attendees are requested to bring their own mats and water. Full Moon Yoga classes are donation based events.

     Coleman Hill is located at 285 Spring Street in Macon.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8

Entrepreneur’s Happy Hour at Just Tap’d (5 - 6 p.m.)

This event is for entrepreneurs to network with others who are also working on making their own businesses grow. The entrepreneurs will also receive one free beer. Learn more about this event at Startup-Macon.com.

THURSDAY, MARCH 9

Macon Bike Party - Ingleside Social (6 p.m.)

This Macon Bike Party will ride through the historic Vine-Ingle neighborhood. Participants will also stop at Jefferson Long Park for a yoga session with Renee Corwine and finish up at The Society Garden. Registration begins at The Society Garden at 6:00 p.m., the bike ride starts at 6:30 p.m., and it ends at That Society Garden by 8:00 p.m. Participants are requested to bring their helmets for this free event.

     The Society Garden is located at 2389 Ingleside Avenue in Macon.

FRIDAY, MARCH 10

Macon Sculpture Walk Celebration (6 - 7:30 p.m.)

This free event will celebrate the  newest additions to the Macon Sculpture Walk. Attendees will meet at the 567 Center to learn about the new sculptures as well as meet the artists who made them. Glass blowing demonstrations will take place on the sidewalk and well.

     The 567 Center for Renewal is located at 456 First Street in Macon.

Grilled Cheese Festival at The Society Garden (5 p.m.)

The Grilled Cheese Festival returns again to The Society Garden this weekend. The SpeakCheesy Food Truck will be onsite along with Root 76. Attendees will be able to enjoy ten different grilled cheese varieties and live music on both days of the three day festival.

     The Society Garden is located at 2389 Ingleside Avenue in Macon.

Fall Line’s 3rd Anniversary Celebration (6 - 9 p.m.)

Fall Line Brewery is celebrating 3 years since they were opened with a weekend full of special events. The VIP bash on Friday will include an open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a live music performance from Canadian Tuxedo. Tickets to the VIP bash cost $40.

Cinema Stereo with Garrett Collins Project at The Hummingbird (10 p.m. - 2 a.m.)

Cinema Stereo from Orlando will perform along with the blues/rock band the Garrett Collins Project. The Hummingbird has a $5 cover charge.

SATURDAY, MARCH 11

ROAD TRIP: 36th Forsythia Festival (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

The Forsythia Festival will take place from Saturday, March 11th through Sunday, March 12th in downtown Forsyth. This festival will feature arts and crafts, food, a kids zone, the Forsythia 5K, the Hello Yellow & Food Truck Frenzy Kickoff, and more.      

Rigby’s Beerfest in Warner Robins (6 p.m.)

Rigby's Beerfest will include craft beer along with live music from The Calipers. The Calipers is a classic rock and outlaw country band from Warner Robins.

     Rigby’s Entertainment Complex is located at 2001 Karl Drive in Warner Robins.

Live Music on Plum Street at Fall Line Brewing Co. (2 p.m.)

On Saturday, Fall Line Brewing's 3 year anniversary celebration will take place on Plum Street. There will be live music performances from Gringo Star, Levi Ransom, and Charles Davis and the Velvet Sound, axe-throwing with Splinters Axe House, a food truck ('Orleans on Wheels), and more.

These Crowded Streets at The Hummingbird (10 p.m. - 3 a.m.)

These Crowded Streets is a band from Atlanta with a sax, fiddle, and acoustic-driven rhythm section that will attempt to replicate the Dave Matthews concert experience as closely as possible. This band will also perform a set of popular 90's hits. These Crowded Streets also performs shows in tribute to other bands like Blues Traveler, Phish, and Black Crowes as well. The Hummingbird has a $5 cover charge.

SUNDAY, MARCH 12

Open Streets Macon: Houston Avenue (1 - 4 p.m.)

Open Streets Macon events invite the public to enjoy city streets as if they were public parks. During the Houston Avenue event, the streets from Villa Crest Avenue to Lynmore Avenue will become a paved park for bikers, walkers, and those who want to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. 

     This Open Streets Macon event will take place from Villa Crest Avenue to Lynmore Avenue.

Macon Film Guild presents “Saint Omer” at The Douglass Theatre (2 p.m.)

"Saint Omer" follows a young novelist named Rama as she attends the trial of a woman accused of killing her young infant by abandoning her at a beach in France. As Rama learns more during the trial, she starts to question what she thought she knew. "Saint Omer" is a drama film from France that is subtitled, runs for 2 hours 2 minutes, and is rated PG-13. Tickets cost $5.

     The Douglass Theatre is located at 355 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Macon.
