As 2023 draws to a close and excitement for a fresh new year runs high, there are many New Year's Eve celebrations taking place this year, from lively celebrations to kid-friendly festivities. If you're looking for something fun to do away from home this New Year's Eve, here are a few options to consider.

Monkey Joe’s Noon Year’s Eve in Warner Robins

Even those with early bedtimes can enjoy this event at Monkey Joe’s on New Year’s Eve. The family-friendly entertainment venue will open at 11 a.m. and have two countdowns: one at 12 p.m. and one at 4 p.m. One unique element of this celebration is the popping of bubble wrap to take the place of festive fireworks. Tickets to Monkey Joe’s cost $10.99 for children and parents or guardians get in free.

Kids Balloon Drop at Rigby’s Entertainment Complex in Warner Robins

Rigby’s will have a free New Year’s Eve balloon drop that starts at 12 p.m. this year. The family-friendly entertainment venue will hide prizes inside some balloons to make the event even more exciting for participants.

New Year’s Eve at Pin Strikes

Bring in the New Year with some bowling and games at Pin Strikes in North Macon. The bowling alley and entertainment venue will be open from 12 p.m. until 1 a.m. on New Year's Eve. For information about New Year’s Eve reservation packages at Pin Strikes, contact Bryan Wimberly at (478) 330-9171.

The Perry Buzzard Drop

One unique Middle Georgia New Year’s celebration in Perry’s Buzzard Drop. This New Year’s Eve Perry will also be celebrating its 200th birthday. Cash’s Juke Joint and DJ Mixmaster will be providing the tunes and free activities like face painting, inflatables, and more. A “Kiddie Countdown” will also take place at 8 p.m.

Champagne Dreams & Cigar Scenes at Churchills on Cherry

Churchills on Cherry will host a unique and classy New Year’s Eve celebration that starts at 6 p.m. Champagne Dreams & Cigar Scenes will include a buffet with prime rib, chicken marsala, desserts, and more. There will also be live music from multiple local artists and a champagne toast at midnight. This event has a dress code of cocktail attire and costs $200 per person.

ROAD TRIP: New Year’s Eve Peach Fest in Underground Atlanta

There won’t be a Peach Drop happening this year in Atlanta but there will be an Atlanta Peach Fest taking place inside of Underground Atlanta. There will be food vendors, music, a red carpet, art, and more, according to the event’s organizers. Tickets start at $25 on eventbrite.com.

The Renaissance Downtown Tour: A Beyoncé Themed New Year’s Eve in Downtown Macon

NewTown Macon and many businesses in Downtown Macon will be celebrating New Year's Eve with events paying homage to Beyoncé this year.

  • There will be a New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in Rosa Parks Square starting at 8 p.m. A Beyoncé tribute performer will put on a show, there will be a "Kiddy Corner", and food and drink specials from local vendors.
  • Serenity Lounge will present Masks and Renaissance starting at 9 p.m. This event will include patrons dressed in masquerade masks, “Renaissance Themed” cocktails, and music from J’Pierre and DJ AD.
  • Alien Superstar New Year’s Eve at Reboot invites you to dress up “flashy and otherworldly” and bring in the new year with a “moon drop and champagne toast” at the stroke of midnight. This event is for patrons 18 years old and older.
  • Hightales at Hotel Forty Five will host a New Year’s Eve party with a DJ playing music from Queen Bey and plenty of Beyoncé-themed drink specials.
  • JBA will celebrate the coming of 2024 with champagne, music from DJ Uh-Oh, and a special Beyoncé-themed drink.
  • Hello Boba Cafe, Just Tap’d, JBA, VIBEZ, and Kinjo Cocktails + Kitchen will all be taking part in the Renaissance Downtown Tour as well with drink specials and Elizabeth’s Vintage will be selling glamorous outfits and accessories for the occasion.

At Rosa Parks Square or VIBEZ, there will be a Beyoncé New Year's Eve’s Bucket list available. This document will give those who get it stamped at each participating location a chance to win a copy of Beyoncé’s Renaissance vinyl album.

New Year’s Eve at Gracie’s in Warner Robins

Gracie’s will celebrate the beginning of a new year on their rooftop bar. There will be live music from Reggie Trombone from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m., a disco ball that will drop at midnight, and a complimentary glass of champagne. There is a $10 cover charge for this event.

New Year’s Eve with Chris Hicks and Friends at The Society Garden

The Society Garden will be hosting a New Year’s Eve party with Chris Hicks from the Marshall Tucker Band and a few of his talented friends. Performers will include Phil Palma, Rhonda Porter, Gary Porter, Miki Caldwell, Jerry Baker, Tim Pinson, Ken Wynn, Ricki Lee Mills, and some special guests. This event starts at 9 p.m. and tickets cost $15 at the gate or on eventbrite.com.

The Macon Sound at The Hummingbird

One of Macon’s favorite party bands, The Macon Sound, will be performing at The Hummingbird Stage & Taproom on New Year’s Eve. There will also be some complimentary bottles of champagne to mark the special occasion. This New Year’s Eve event starts at 10 p.m. and there will be a $5 cover charge at the door.

New Year’s Eve with DJ Lupo at Billy’s Clubhouse

DJ Lupo will be providing the music for the celebration at Billy’s Clubhouse on New Year’s Eve. Champagne bottles will be popped at midnight and there is no cover charge at this North Macon bar and music venue.
