If you were hoping temperatures in the 70s this week would mean a good time to get outside this weekend, you might be disappointed by the weather in the next few days.
On Thursday, January 25th, the National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with showers and thunderstorms likely tonight, mostly before 11 p.m., and winds up to 15 miles per hour throughout the day.
On Fridays, January 26th, there will likely be showers and possibly a thunderstorm mostly before 5 p.m. (but a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m.as well) and high temperatures near 72.
The NWS forecast the chance of rain during the day on Friday as being 90% with rain "between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms."
On Saturday, January 27th, Possible showers and thunderstorms are forecast before 7 a.m.with more rain predicted between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. and showers and possibly a thunderstorm after then.
High temperatures are also forecast to reach near 74 degrees during the day with wind reaching up to 15 miles per hour and wind gusts "as high as 25 mph".
The chance of rain on Saturday is 80% percent chance during the day which moves up to a 90% chance during the evening., with possible thunderstorms from 1 a.m. until 4 a.m.
Finally, on Sunday, January 28th, some sun should brighten up the weekend and the high temperatures are forecast to only reach near 60 degrees with low temperatures following to around 40 degrees during the night.
