This week in the heart of Georgia, many will pay homage to the sacrifices of veterans on Monday, including bike riders taking part in the Veterans Day Bike Ride, there will be several free or inexpensive musical concerts taking place, as well as a free storytelling event from Storytellers Macon on Tuesday at historic Grant's Lounge. The following are just a few of the fun and interesting taking place in Middle Georgia.
MONDAY, November 11th
VETERAN’S DAY
Veterans Day Bike Ride at Overtyme Bar & Grill (12 p.m.)
Overtyme Bar & Grill on Pio Nono Avenue will host a Veterans Day Bike Ride starting at noon on Monday. Every registration will help feed military members, according to the restaurant.

Mercer University’s Wind Ensemble Concert at The Piedmont Grand Opera House (7:30 p.m.)
Guest composer and conductor Dr. Jack Stamp will lead Mercer University’s Wind Ensemble at this free concert. The concert will start off with a performance of the National Anthem and the "Gavorkna Fanfare", an original composition of Dr. Stamp as well.

TUESDAY, November 12th
Storytellers Macon presents “It’s a Little Bit Funny, This Feeling Inside” at Grant’s Lounge (6:30-8:30 p.m.)
Storyteller’s Macon will return for an evening of true stories at historic Grant’s Lounge on Tuesday. The host for this storytelling event will be Charlotte Renee Storey, Mercer University’s Chief Information Officer, and Zaria Newbill, teacher, certified life coach, and the founder of Navigating Omitted Minds Overtime, will be the special featured storyteller. Storyteller’s Macon is a non-profit organization that gives platforms to people to tell their stories, including those in the audience who sign up to tell a five-minute story somehow related to the theme for the event, which this Tuesday will be “It’s a Little Bit Funny, This Feeling Inside.” This event is free and open to the public, though it is recommended for mature audiences because storytellers are not censored.

Fabian Concert Series in Fickling Hall (7:30 p.m.)
The Fabian Concert Series is curated by artistic director Amy Schwartz Moretti and presents moving chamber music in Mercer University’s Townsend School of Music’s Fickling Hall. Tickets to concerts in this series are $20 for adults and free for students with student IDs.

WEDNESDAY, November 13th
Bob's Burgers Trivia at The Library (7:30 p.m.)
Attendees at this evening of trivia will laugh at the questions about the humorous and highly quotable cartoon "Bob's Burgers" while having a chance to win prizes. This event is free to attend, and sign-up begins at 7:30 p.m.

THURSDAY, November 14th
Macon Bike Party: Cranksgiving with Bike Tech and Fall Line Brewing Co. (6-8 p.m.)
Bike Walk Macon and Bike Tech present a Macon Bike Party for a good cause. Cranksgiving is not only a bike ride but also a food drive, as participants are encouraged to bring five dry or canned goods to donate to the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank. Registration begins at Fall Line Brewing Co. at 6 p.m. and then the ride starts at 6:15 p.m. Cranksgiving ends at The Rose Room by 8 p.m.

Ana María Martínez at Fickling Hall (7:30 p.m.)
Ana María Martínez is a Grammy award-winning soprano who will be performing at this historic Fickling Hall. Martinez was born in Puerto Rico and has gone on to travel the world singing for audiences in opera houses and concert halls. General admission tickets to this performance cost $7 and students get in free with student IDs.

FRIDAY, November 15th
Perry Food Truck Friday: FRIENDSgiving (6-10 p.m.)
The City of Perry invites Middle Georgians to FRIENDSgiving, a food truck festival that celebrates “friendships and the warm camaraderie of community” with more than 20 food trucks and beverage vendors. The family-friendly event is free to attend and well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome as well.

An Evening with Keller Williams at The Society Garden (6 p.m.)
Keller Williams is a singer and songwriter whose music mixes the genres of bluegrass, folk, alternative rock, reggae, electronica, jazz, funk, and more. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the music starts at 8 p.m. This is an all-ages show. Tickets are $25 for general admission or $400 for reserved stadium seating for eight guests on eventbrite.com.

The Marshall Tucker Band with Special Guest Wet Willie at the Macon City Auditorium (7:30 p.m.)
The southern rock band The Marshall Tucker Band will perform along with Wet Willie at the Macon City Auditorium on Friday night. The Marshall Tucker Band was one of the original Southern rock bands, producing hits like “Can’t You See.” They will perform along with special guest Wet Willie, another of the original southern rock bands best known for their song “Keep On Smilin’.” Tickets currently start at $51 on ticketmaster.com.

Fairly Weathered Friends at Vice Bar (9:07 p.m.)
The funky, folk, and psychedelic rock band Fairly Weathered Friends will be playing a free concert at Downtown Macon’s Vice Bar on Friday night. This concert is free and open to the public.

Luke Brown & the Jubilee at The Hummingbird (9:30 p.m.)
Atlanta’s Luke Brown & the Jubilee will be performing country and rock music at the Hummingbird on Friday night. There will be a $5 cover for this performance.

Robert Lee Coleman at Grant’s Lounge (10 p.m.)
Legendary local musician Robert Lee Coleman will be performing at Grant’s Lounge on Friday night as part of the official Marshall Tucker Band/Wet Willie afterparty. The doors open at 9 p.m. and the music starts at 10 p.m. Tickets cost $10 at the door or online.

SATURDAY, November 16th
Women in STEM Speaker Series at the Museum of Arts and Sciences (10 a.m.-12 p.m.)

Rooftop Yoga at Hightales Rooftop Bar (1-2 p.m.)
Yoga instructor Codi Potter will lead a yoga class overlooking Downtown Macon from Hotel Forty Five’s rooftop bar, Hightales. Potter is a teacher with a great humor and a fascinating story, suffering a traumatic brain injury in 2010 and regaining her health through yoga as a form of rehabilitation. ROAD TRIP: Jake & Elwood and The Boys Tribute to the Blues Brothers at the Griffin Opera House (8 p.m.)
The band is getting back together, or at least a Blues Brothers tribute band is getting back together. There will likely be sunglasses worn in the dark, lots of humor, and of course live blues and soul music at this concert. Tickets start at $30 on freshtix.com.

Loren Michelle at Serenity Entertainment Complex (8 p.m.)

Ray Fulcher at The Hummingbird (9:30 p.m.-1 a.m.)
Singer and songwriter Ray Fulcher will be performing country music at The Hummingbird on Saturday night and into Sunday morning. Fulcher is known for co-writing Luke Comb’s albums and having over 3 billion songwriting streams online, according to The Hummingbird. This is a show for those 18 and older and tickets cost $11.20 online.

Centenary’s Fall Arts and Crafts Fair (12-3 p.m.)
Centenary Church will hold its Fall Arts and Crafts Fair on Sunday from 12 to 3 p.m. This family-friendly event will include paintings, children’s books, pottery, sweet treats, and more, according to the church. Centenary’s Fall Arts and Crafts Fair is free and open to the public.

Classics at the Bibb: Christmas Edition in Third Street Park (7 p.m.)
NewTown Macon presents another Classics at the Bibb, this time with short Christmas films like “Twas the Night Before Christmas” (1974) and “Mickey’s Christmas Carol” (1983) projected onto the front facade of the Bibb Theatre. Attendees will gather in Third Street Park with picnic blankets and chairs for this free, family-friendly event.
