The first full week of April will include adventures for those who love art, dance, live music, movies, and more. One particularly exciting event on Thursday, Soundcheck, is where Macon's Bragg Jam will reveal its 2026 Bragg Jam Concert Crawl performers during a vinyl-themed art show at Tanglewood Studios. The following are just a few of the interesting, fun, and unique things to do this week in the heart of Georgia.

>> Belle & Ariel at Giggle Town in Macon (10-11 a.m.)
Visitors to Macon’s Giggle Town can meet and sing along with Ariel and Princess Belle on Monday morning. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite princess for this entertaining event. Entry costs $15 for 0 to 1 year olds and $20 for 2 to 9 year olds.

>> MUSIC: Chain Gang, Lilypad, Black Hills & Straight Content at Reverb Room at Warner Robins (7 p.m.)
Start off the week with live hardcore and deathcore music from GMO Productions on Monday as The Most Hated Tour brings Chaingang, Lilypad, Black Hills, and Straight Content to Warner Robins. This concert is for all ages, and no alcohol will be sold during this show. Tickets to this show cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

>> MUSIC: McDuffie Center Young Artists Concert at the Bell House in Macon (7 p.m.)
Young talents from Mercer’s McDuffie Center will perform recitals in the historic Bell House’s Jennings Salon on Monday evening. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public, with limited seating.

TUESDAY, April 6th
>> Anti Banned Book Club at Bear’s Books in Macon (6:30 p.m.)
The unique Anti Banned Book Club continues this Tuesday, with attendees discussing Rudolfo Anaya’s "Bless Me, Ultima". The cost for this event for book lovers is $10 at this link and includes a guided discussion from Katie and light refreshments.

WEDNESDAY, April 7th
>> Starting a Small Business at Washington Memorial Library in Macon (6 p.m.)
SCORE Mentors will present a workshop about starting a small business, in partnership with SparkMacon, on the second floor of the beautiful Washington Memorial Park in Downtown Macon on Wednesday evening. This workshop series takes place on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

THURSDAY, April 8th
>> 37th Annual Peach Blossom Cluster (Dog Show) at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry (4/8-4/12) (11 a.m.)
The Peach Blossom Cluster, also known as the “Be Nice” Cluster, is an annual dog show in Perry that has been taking place for over 30 years. This event, whose founder, Ms. Helen, was known for her “kindness, decency, and good sportsmanship.” Vendors selling items for dogs and their owners during the Peach Blossom Cluster. This family-friendly four-day event is free to attend.

>> Screening of “Miles Ahead” at Douglass Theatre in Macon (2 p.m.)
There will be a screening of “Miles Ahead" (2016) , the fictionalized biopic about Miles Davis, this Thursday as part of Douglass Theatre’s Senior Cinema. This program that provides film lovers 55 and older free admission to inspiring, thought-provoking movies. Subtitles are provided for the hearing impaired, and “Miles Ahead” is rated R for restricted.

>> HomeLevel UP: Seriously LEGO: Crafting Self-Awareness Through Play with Dr. Virginia Wilcox at Wesleyan College Leadership Lab in Macon (6-7 p.m.)
Participants in this workshop from Dr. Virginia Wilcox at Downtown Macon’s Wesleyan College Leadership Lab will play with LEGO bricks to surprisingly “unlock powerful personal insights, enhance communication, and connect with others in meaningful new ways.” Dr. Virginia Wilcox grew up in Macon and is now the Chair of the Education Department at Wesleyan College. >> Park Hop Bike Ride with Bike Walk Macon in Downtown Macon (6-8 p.m.)
Park Hop Bike Ride is a bike party where participants will visit several public spaces at this family-friendly biking event this Thursday. The bike party will stop at some well-known public spaces, as well as some that are hidden treasures, and do some tai chi in the new Spirit of Macon Park. Helmets are required to participate in this free event from Bike Ride Macon.

>> ART/MUSIC: Soundcheck: Bragg Jam Lineup Reveal Party at Tanglewood Art Studios in Macon (6:30-9 p.m.)
If you are curious about who the performers at this year's Bragg Jam Concert Crawl will be, and you like art, Soundcheck is the place to be this Thursday evening. Soundcheck will include a “vinyl-based group exhibit” from talented local artists, live music, and drinks. Saturday, April 11th through 12th > Dogwood Festival in Perry: This weekend, the annual Perry Dogwood Festival returns, with food trucks serving tasty food, drink vendors like Wolf Creek Plantations and Bodega Brew serving cold beverages for adults, and a kids zone with bounce houses, a soft play section, and more for those with excess energy to burn.
Saturday, April 11th > Magnolia Market & Chalk Walk in Eatonton: This free family-friendly event will include arts and crafts vendors, colorful chalk artwork, and opportunities for shopping.
> 16th Annual Magnolia Soap Box Derby: This popular yearly event takes place around Washington Park in Downtown Macon. After this year’s family-friendly soap box derby, the Magnolia Street Porch Fest, a free concert, will take place. Both the derby and the concert are free and open to the public.
