Ocmulgee Outfitters manager Quint Rogers even owns a fly fishing service called Peach State Fly Fishing. Rogers and other guides with Peach State Fly Fishing take clients of all experiences levels out fishing and they specialize in wading trips on the Ocmulgee and Flint rivers. As of the time of publication, Peach State Fly Fishing currently had the following days open for booking: 10/4, 10/6, 10/7, 10/10, 10/12, 10/17, 10/20, 10/23, 10/24, and 10/25.
Staff member Mason Creager is a student at Mercer who also leads guided kayak tours down the Ocmulgee. Creager has 8 years of experience on the water and has been teaching others about rivers and how to navigate them for the past 6 years. He currently has one trip planned for October 14th where he will leave from Pope's Ferry Landing around 1 p.m. to get to Amerson River Park between 5 and 6 p.m. Creager can be reached at (678) 975-8054.
