The 33rd Annual Syrup Makin' Day gives visitors to the historic Jarrell Plantation a chance to see the "old-fashioned way" to make sugar cane syrup.
There will be a demonstration of cane juice being cooked in original kettles and visitors will see the steam powered cane press in operation. Hot syrup will be available to purchase at the end of the event.
There will also be chances to "sip on sugar cane juice and watch farm skill like spinning, weaving, and woodstove cooking" as well as some games and activities.
Admission to the 33rd Annual Syrup Makin' Day will cost from $6 to $8.50.
