Molena's Bigfoot Festival will celebrate the mysterious Bigfoot with several events, food, a 5k race, and live entertainment from Soggy Broccoli Boys and others.

The Elkins Creek 5K will start at 9 a.m. with a mile long walk to Elkin's Creek bridge beginning at 10 a.m.

Author James P. Akin will be speaking and signing his book "Elkins Creek", which deals with the finding of a "giant footprint in the swamps of rural county Georgia" as well as Bigfoot sightings and theories about what Bigfoot is. There will also be additional speakers and authors speaking as well. The authors and others will speak from  from 2 to 5 p.m.
