Middle Georgia will once again be filled with the sounds of live music and people enjoying themselves during the next few days. From an Elton John tribute band to Magnolia Moon and Choir of Babble, fans of music can hear a wide range of talented musicians on stages all over the heart of Georgia. The following are just a few of the performances taking place this first weekend of February.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 2
JEFFREY MARTIN AT CAPRICORN SOUND STUDIOS (7 p.m.)
Jeffrey Martin is a singer and songwriter from Portland whose lyrics often discuss the profound aspects of life. His newest album is named “Thank God We Left The Garden” which he recorded in a “tiny shack he built in [his] backyard.” As of the writing of this article, tickets to see Jeffrey Martin performance sold out on seetickets.us.
“STILL STANDING” A TRIBUTE TO ELTON JOHN AT GRIFFIN OPERA HOUSE (8 p.m.)
The band “Still Standing” will be playing the hit songs of Elton John this Friday. Tickets start at $30 online but there aren’t many tickets left online as of the time of publication.
CREED FISHER AT THE CAPITOL THEATRE (8 p.m.)
Creed Fisher will be performing outlaw country music at the Capitol Theatre this Friday as part of Fisher's Stars and Stripes Tour. One of his most popular songs is “The Way I Am” and its music video has been viewed over 10 million times on YouTube. Tickets to see Creed Fisher start at $25 online.
SWEET DIESEL’S HONKY TONK HEYDAY FEATURING THE PINK STONES AT GRANT’S LOUNGE (9 p.m.)
The Pink Stones will be performing “spacey honkytonk mixed with trucker anthems and ecstatic gospel” at Sweet Diesel’s Honky Tonk Heyday this Friday. Tickets are $10 online in advance or at the door.

THE LEVI DE VILLE BAND AT BILLY’S CLUBHOUSE (10 p.m.)
The Levi De Ville Band will be playing blues rock music at Billy’s Clubhouse late Friday night. As usual, there is no cover charge at Billy’s Clubhouse.
RASPBERRY PIE AT THE HUMMINGBIRD (10 p.m.)
Raspberry Pie is a funk rock band from Orlando and they will be making their Macon debut this Friday at The Hummingbird. There will be a $5 cover at the door for this funky show.
MAGNOLIA MOON AND CHOIR OF BABBLE AT JBA (10 p.m.)
Magnolia Moon and Choir of Babble are two rock bands from Middle Georgia known for their musical skills as well as their power stage presence. There will be a $5 cover charge for those 21 years old and older and a $10 cover for those 18 to 20 years old.
BLUE. GIANT DENIRO, TOTEM AT BUFFINGTONS IN MILLEDGEVILLE (10:30 p.m.)
Three rock bands will be performing at BUFFINGTONS in Milledgeville late Friday night. This restaurant and music venue will have live music until 2 a.m. and there is no cover charge.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3
FLY BETTY AT THE MUSE THEATRE IN PERRY (7:30 p.m.)
Fly Betty is a rock band from Atlanta who will be playing this show for a good cause. Proceeds from this performance will help benefit Travis Harvey as he fights cancer. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and this event is for those 21 years old and older. Individual tickets cost $30 online.
JACKSON TANNER TRIO AT THE SOCIETY GARDEN (8 p.m.)
The Jackson Tanner Trio will be playing contemporary pop-country music at The Society Garden on Saturday. The Society Garden usually has a cover charge for their concerts.
THE WHISPERS, MR. LENNY WILLIAMS, AND AJ THE DJ AT ALL THAT JAZZ 2024 AT MACON CITY AUDITORIUM (8:30 p.m.)
The Tubman Museum's All That Jazz Concert and Gala will feature performances from The Whispers and Mr. Lenny Williams and also include a dinner and a dance party after the concert hosted by AJ the DJ. Tickets to All That Jazz 2024 cost $50 on ticketmaster.com.
ALEX STONE & FRIENDS AT GRANT’S LOUNGE (9 p.m.)
Alex Stone is a well-known Middle Georgia musician who is the founder/bassist of The Woofs and DireWoof. Some of Stone's talented friends will join him on the historic Grant's Lounge stage. The doors open at 8 p.m. and the music starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance online or at the door.
DJ LUPO AT RESOLUTION RUINER PARTY FEATURING DJ LUPO AT THE HUMMINGBIRD (10 p.m.)
DJ Lupo will be playing at The Hummingbird's Resolution Ruiner Party this Saturday. College Students 21 years and older with their student I.D.s will get in for free while everyone else will pay a $5 cover charge at the door.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 4
THE BRIDGE! GOSPEL + R&B MASHUPS AT SERENITY (6 p.m.)
This event will celebrate gospel and rhythm and blues music and include live performances from Xavier Wytche and recording artist Hasan Green. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the venue will be serving non-alcohol mocktails for those who can have fun without the help of alcohol. General Admission tickets cost $10 online.
DJ UH-OH AND BRVNDO AT THE HUMMINGBIRD (8 p.m. - 12 a.m.)
DJ Uh Oh, CL33B0, and Brvnd0 will be performing to help the nonprofit animal rescue Habitat 4 Hounds this Sunday. Attendees are encouraged to bring items on the nonprofit's wish list including: Paper Towels, Treats (whimzees or freeze-dried), Dog food (Purina One Lamb & Rice), XL potty pads, and toys. There will also be a raffle and silent auction.
