Vietnamese food is known for its balance of fresh ingredients, aromatic herbs, and the harmonious combination of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy flavors. During my recent visit to the restaurant, David Chang, the manager of Pho Cali, discussed the seasonal popularity of their dishes. "The pho is most popular during the winter months because it heats you up. In the summer, people like the rice vermicelli noodles bowls more because people say it helps their stomach," Chang explained.
