First Street Art & Wine Festival Coming to Macon in September

Enjoy art, wine and food pairing, live music, and more at this September event in Macon.

Just Tap'd - Macon and The 567 Center for Renewal (567) are hosting First Street Art & Wine Festival in downtown Macon this September. There will be lots of art to admire or purchase, live music from the band "Front Porch Radio", and of course, wine tastings along with food pairings.

First Street is a busy, thriving part of downtown Macon where you will find street art, the popular thrift shop "Wear", art galleries, and  grand historic buildings like the Macon Auditorium. 

On Friday, September 17th,  Macon Art Alliance will have a tent art sale from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. A Corks & Canvas class by 567 will be at 7 p.m.

Just Tap'd will be have wine tastings along with food pairings. Just Tap'd is located at the corner of 1st Street and Poplar Street. They offer a selection of 64 different craft beers as well as speciality pub food from places like Bavaria, Italy and the United Kingdom.

On Saturday, September 18th, if you are feeling artistic, 567 will have mini art classes throughout the day where you can make art such as wine glass terrariums and alcohol ink painted wine glasses. 

The Artist Market will also be open near Just Tap'd from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. where you can enjoy shopping or sipping wine while listening to "Front Porch Radio" play.

On Sunday, September 19th, Just Tap'd will have Bottomless Mimosas  from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Throughout this festive event, there will also be live art demonstrations, souvenirs to purchase, and lots more in addition to the events featured above.
