The Macon Beer Fest will feature 100 varieties of craft beer, cider, and wine along with 4 music acts, arts and craft vendors, and food vendors, according to the festival's website.

One of the talented bands that will be performing at this year's festival is sisters of the blue moon, an Americana trio from Macon featuring musicians Erica Carr, Nina Talon, and Charlie Thomas, who were all former members of the band blueskyblue.

The Macon Beer Fest was started in 2010 by the Rotary Club of Downtown Macon as a way to support "Pints for Prostates", an organization whose goal is to educate men about prostate cancer and the need for screening.

Men over 40 will also be eligible for a free $700 blood screening at the festival while supplies last.

 If you just want to attend the Macon Beer Fest without drinking, admission is free.

General admission tickets are $45 and you will receive unlimited pours while VIP tickets are $125 through October 13th and you will be allowed to begin the festivities an hour earlier than General admission ticket holders. On the day of the event, General admission tickets increase to $50 and VIP tickets will already be sold out.
