2022 Fall Festivals and Halloween Events for Kids and Grownups in Middle Georgia

This time of the year means different things for different people but there are enough unique events for every taste (Photograph courtesy of Pxfuel.com)

Whether you want to just have fun and fellowship or get your socks scared off there are plenty of Fall Festival and Halloween events going on in Middle Georgia this year. Here are just a few events taking place this year both for kids and for adults.

Events for Kids

Wednesday, October 26th

MACON

All Hallows’ Eve Celebration at Christ Church -Episcopal (5:30 p.m.)

Christ Church - Episcopal will have a Service and Dinner for this event. Christ Church - Episcopal is located at 582 Walnut Street in Macon.

WARNER ROBINS

Trick-or-Treat at Nola Brantley Memorial Library (5 p.m.)

This event is presented by the Houston County Public Library System and Nola Brantley Memorial Library. Susana Bixler will be onsite making balloon animals from 5 until 6 p.m. Costumes are highly encouraged. Nola Brantley Memorial Library is located at 721 Watson Boulevard Warner Robins.

Fall Festival 2022 at The Assembly of Warner Robins (6:30 p.m.)

The Assembly at Warner Robins is hosting a family friendly Fall Festival with "food trucks, trunk or treat, inflatables" and a Assembly at Warner Robins' event. The Assembly at Warner Robins is located at 6040 Watson Boulevard in Byron.

FORSYTH

Fall Festival at Maynard Baptist Church (6 - 8 p.m.)

Maynard Baptist Church invites everyone to dress up in "family friendly costumes" for this annual fall festival. There will be games, face painting, cake walks, candy, and food. Maynard Baptist Church is located at 1195 Juliette Road in Forsyth.

KATHLEEN

Pumpkin Palooza at Counterpoint Church (6 - 8 p.m.)

Centerpoint Church is hosting a family-friendly event called Pumpkin Palooza. There will be "food trucks, inflatables, games, hay rides, a petting zoo, [a coffee bar], and more." Centerpoint Church is located at 2440 GA Highway 127 in Kathleen.

Friday, October 28th

MACON

Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat (6 - 9 p.m.)

Macon Bibb County Recreation Department and the Melanated Community Stimulation Project, Inc. present this free Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat event. There will be candy, a game truck, a DJ playing music, food, face painting and more. This event takes place at the Macon-Bibb Recreation Department located at 150 Willie Smokie Glover Drive in Macon.

Saturday, October 29th

MACON

Spooky Halloween Carnival Parents Night Out (6 - 9 p.m.)

This event presented by OKS Martial Arts and Fitness, Inc - Macon encourages parents to get a night to themselves by dropping their kids off for a Halloween Carnival. Attendees will enjoy games, pizza, activities, a costume contest, and a mini haunted house. This event cost $30 to attend and space is limited for this event so you must reserve your spot online. OKS Martial Arts and Fitness, Inc - Macon is located at 6255 Zebulon Road, Suite No. 196 in Macon.

Spooky Horse Camp at Morgan View Farm (9 a.m. - 12 p.m.)

This event is described as a "fun camp at the barn, Halloween style". Attendees are encouraged to wear their costumes that will still allow them to ride a horse for a horsemanship lesson, games, and ride time. This event is for children aged 4 to 12. Tickets to this event $100 and can be purchased online. It is requested that attendees bring a water bottle and snack. Morgan View Farm is located at 34 She Road in Macon.

DUBLIN

New Beginnings Halloween Party (5 - 12 p.m.)

Costume party with a bounce house, food, outdoor games, and more. This event takes place at New Beginnings Recovery Homes located at 2291 Clayton Dairy Road in Dublin.

MONTROSE

Haunted Montrose (7 - 11 p.m.)

Beware this event is for mature trick-or-treaters and not for those who don't want scary nightmares. Haunted Montrose includes an Old Slaughter House, Graveyard, and a Dark Maze. Tickets cost $26 and can be purchased on the Haunted Montrose website. Haunted Montrose is located on Academy Street in Montrose.

Monday, October 31st

MACON

Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Macon (4 - 7 p.m.)

NewTown Macon and Downtown Macon present this event on Halloween night. Multiple Downtown Macon businesses and organizations will have treats for trick-or-treaters.

Halloween in The Courtyard at Emerson at Plum (4 - 8 p.m.)

Emerson at Plum and Macon Drinks hosts this family friendly event for trick-or-treaters. Attendees will receive candy, be able to play games, and enjoy a bounce house. Emerson at Plum is located at 543 Plum Street in Macon.

Halloween Kids Fest at Fall Line Brewing Co. in Macon (4 p.m.)

Downtown Macon and Fall Line Brewing Co. are hosting one of the stops in Downtown Macon on Halloween. There will be Halloween-themed games, a chance to decorate a pumpkin, and more. Of course there will be food for purchase and drinks for the adults as well. Donations collected from Fall Line Brewing Co.'s Halloween carnival games will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Central Georgia. Fall Line Brewing Co. is located at 567 Plum Street in Macon.

Halloween Kids Party at Serenity Entertainment Complex (5 - 8 p.m.)

This event is for the whole family and will include a "DJ, video games, board games, face-painting, concession foods and free candy." There will also be a costume contest for the kids and Halloween themed cocktails for the adults. Serenity Entertainment Complex is located at 427 Poplar Street in Macon.

KATHLEEN

Lake Joy Trails of Terror presents "The Village of the Dead" (7 - 11 p.m.)

Beware this event is for mature trick-or-treaters and not for those who don't want scary nightmares. You will may your way down a dark, spooky trail in the woods and "creatures" will do their best to scare you. General admission tickets are $30 and there are other ticket choices that come with a shirt or other items. Lake Joy Trails is located at 428 B Lake Joy Road in Kathleen.

Events for Grown Ups

Friday, October 28th

MACON

2022 Halloween Bash at American Legion Post 3 (7 p.m.)

This event is only for those 21 years old or older and it the American Legion Post 3's 1st annual Halloween costume party. Entry is free but guests are requested to bring a dish or dessert to share. There will be costume contest with a "huge prize", karaoke, a dance floor and, a full bar. American Legion Post 3 is located at 5530 Thomaston Road in Macon.

Halloween Candy with Beer Pairing at Just Tap'd - Macon (12 p.m.)

Just Tap'd - Macon will be having this event from October 28th through the 30th. Guests will be served candy paired with beer flights. Just Tap'd - Macon is located at 488 1st Street in Macon.

Saturday, October 29th

Halloween Show w/ Choir of Babble at JBA in Macon (10 p.m.)

The band Choir of Babble will perform a Halloween show where attendees are encouraged to dress up in spooky costumes. The winner of the costume contest will win a bar tab. JBA is located at 499 MLK Jr. Boulevard in Macon.

Halloween Party at Hightails Rooftop Bar in Macon (7 - 10 p.m.)

Hotel Forty Five invites guests to their Hightales Rooftop Bar for a Halloween costume contest, specialty Halloween themed cocktails, and complimentary hors d'oeuvres. The price for the first place winner of the costume contest is a one night stay at Epicurean Atlanta and the second place winner will receive a dinner and drinks for two at Hotel Forty Five's restaurant Loom. Hotel Forty Five is located at 401 Cotton Avenue in Macon.

Halloween Party with 8 Second Ride at The Crazy Bull (10 p.m. - 1 a.m.)

The Crazy Bull will have their annual Halloween party and costume contest on Saturday night. The winners of the costume contest will receive cash prizes, there will be a live musical performance by the band 8 Second Ride, and free mechanical bull rides. Guests must be 18 to enter and 21 or over to drink. The Crazy Bull is located at 473 2nd Street in Macon.

Sunday, October 30th

Thick or Treat Halloween Day Party (3 - 7 p.m.)

This adults only Halloween Day Party features bottomless mimosas and hookah use for purchase. Tickets cost $30. The Thick or Treat Halloween Day Party takes place at 189 Lower Bay Street in Macon.

Monday, October 31st

MACON

DJ Old Flame Halloween Party at The Hummingbird (10 p.m. - 2 a.m.)

The Hummingbird Stage & Taproom is hosting a Halloween party night. DJ Old Flame will spin starting at 10 m. and there will be Halloween specials throughout the evening. There will also be a Halloween costume contest that starts at 11 p.m. The Hummingbird Stage & Taproom is located at 430 Cherry Street in Macon.
