WEDNESDAY, November 22
ROAD TRIP: Winter WonderLights at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens (5:30 - 9 p.m.)
The Winter WonderLights event has taken place at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia at the University of Georgia for the last two years. Visitors to the gardens will enjoy new light displays this year, and be able to explore a Winter Wondercave, Jingle Bell Lane, the Northern Lights, a Frosted Forest, and more. Winter WonderLights takes place on select nights from November 22nd through December 30th. Tickets to see the Winter WonderLights are $15 for those 4 years and older and free for children 3 and under.

7th Annual Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner and Karaoke at Billy’s Clubhouse (7 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.)
Billy’s Clubhouse will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner this Thursday and patrons who bring a dish to share with others will receive a free drink. DJ Custom will lead an evening of Thanksgiving karaoke starting at 9 p.m. Billy’s Clubhouse does not have a cover charge.

FRIDAY, November 24
Perry’s Lighted Holiday Parade (5 p.m.)
The Perry Chamber of Commerce will present Perry’s Lighted Holiday Parade on Friday night. The parade will include lighted floats and Downtown Perry businesses will turn of their lights at 7 p.m. for the special event. Businesses, community organizations, and community members are encouraged to create festive, lighted floats for the Lighted Holiday Parade. The parade will start at the corner of 2nd and Otley, head east on Otely to 3rd Street, head north on 3rd to Pattee, and then head south on 2nd Street through Downtown Perry. This event is free and open to the public.

Macon Christmas Lights Extravaganza Opening Night with the Macon Pops (6 p.m.)
More than 1 million Christmas lights will blink and twinkle along with music from the Macon Pops at the Macon Christmas Lights Extravaganza opening concert this year. This annual event is presented by Northway Church and the same music performed by the Macon Pops will be played along with the lights, which will be synced up to the music, on the hour from 6 to 9 p.m. nightly through January 3rd. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to find parking and a good place to view the concert and to bring their own chairs as there will be none provided for this event. This event is free and open to the public.

10th Annual Best of Georgia Roots Rock Showcase at The Hummingbird (7:30 p.m. - 12 a.m.)
This event will feature multiple talented bands from the Peach State, including The Shade Trees, Shy Company, Matt McMillan & the City Limits, SWAIN, and Ashton Rowland. Tickets to the Best of Georgia Roots Rock Showcase cost $5 at the door.

SATURDAY, November 25
Shop Small Saturday Shopping Power Hours in Downtown Macon (9 a.m. - 6 p.m.)
Shop Small Saturday is a nationwide event that encourages people across the country to shop at the small businesses in their community. Multiple businesses in Downtown Macon will offer discounts and deals during Shopping Power Hours including Z Beans and the Wild Roam Club from 8 to 9 a.m. and the Otis Redding Foundation, Sparks Yoga, H&H, Elizabeth’s Vintage, and the Bohemian Den from 9 to 10 a.m. Many other businesses are offering discounts throughout the day through 6 p.m.: read the full list of participating businesses and the times they will be offering their special deals on New Town Macon’s Facebook event post.

Macon Mayhem vs. Knoxville Icebears Hockey Game: Scooby-Doo Night and Dog Races at the Macon Coliseum (6:30 p.m.)
This Saturday night, Scooby-Doo and the gang are invited to come watch the Macon Mayhem face off against the Knoxville Icebears. This game is a unique one because it will also feature Pucks and Paws where audience members’ dogs can take part in Dog Races on the ice during the first intermission. The Comedy Cookout in Warner Robins (7:30 p.m.)

Public Ice Skating After the Macon Mayhem Game in the Macon Coliseum (10 p.m.)
After the Macon Mayhem’s game against the Knoxville Icebears, 150 people will get a chance to ice skate in the Macon Coliseum. Early arrival in encouraged and guests are asked to bring a pair of socks to ice skate as well as a clear bag if bringing in any personal items. There will also be public skating in the Macon Coliseum on Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets to ice skate on Saturday cost $7 on ticketmaster.com.

Artists Sunday at Triangle Arts Macon (12 - 5 p.m.)
Artists Sunday at the one and only Triangle Arts Macon will feature craft vendors, a group art exhibit, puppetry performances from Rudy Mendes, face painting, holiday card crafts with artist Rhonda Miller, alcohol pain demonstrations from Deonna Hendrix, a furniture building workshop with ValKill Furniture’s Ric Geyer, and more. This event is free and open to the public.

Macon Mayhem vs. Pensacola Ice Flyers: Pucks & Pickleball at the Macon Coliseum (4 p.m.)
The Macon Mayhem hockey team will play against the Pensacola Ice Flyers starting at 4 p.m. Then a very unique event will take place that will determine whether it is possible to play pickleball while standing on slippery ice.
