Live Music and Entertainment Spotlight in Macon and Middle Georgia this Week
From country to karaoke, electronic dance music to psychedelic rock, there will be plenty of entertainment options taking place this week. The following are just a few of the live entertainment shows happening in the heart of Georgia during the next few days.
FRIDAY, February 23rd
ROAD TRIP: BACK N BLACK AT GRIFFIN OPERA HOUSE (8 p.m.)
Back N Black is an AC/DC tribute band that seeks to create a “high energy reproduction of an [AC/DC] concert performance”. The band will perform hits like “T.N.T.” and “Thunderstruck”. Tickets to see Back N Black start at $27.75 online at this link.
TOMMY PRINE WITH MAGGIE ANTONE AT GRANT’S LOUNGE (9 p.m.)
Tommy Prine is an alternative country singer/songwriter who is also the youngest son of the country-folk musician John Prine. Another alternative country musician, Maggie Antone, will be Prine’s special guest and opens the show. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the music commences at 9 p.m. Tickets to see Tommy Prine and Maggie Antone in concert cost $20 in advance online at this link or at the door.

K.P. & THE SIDEWINDERS AT 20’S PUB (9 p.m.)
Keith Patterson and The Sidewinders will be performing at 20’s Pub on Friday night.
CHANCE CARTER AT JBA (10 p.m.)
Chance Carter is a country musician based out of Macon who will be playing some of his original music as well as popular top 40 songs as well as much loved classic songs. like The Killers' “Mr. Brightside”. JBA usually has a cover charge for their music concerts.
EDGEWOOD HEAVY AT THE HUMMINGBIRD (10 p.m.)
Edgewood Heavy is an Atlanta band that plays music that mixes psychedelic rock sounds and modern soul. In 2021, this band even hosted their first music festival called “Edgewoodstock”’. Tickets to see Edgewood Heavy live cost $5 at the door.

SATURDAY, February 24th
BIG BIRD BASH AT THE HUMMINGBIRD (4 p.m.)
The annual Big Bird Bash returns to The Hummingbird on Saturday. This year Forrest Isn't Dead, Blue, Koyal, Ash Tuesday, Rag n Bone, Justin Cutway, and Hunter Pettis will perform. The doors will open at 4 p.m. and the music starts at 5 p.m. Tickets to the Big Bird Bash are $10 for attendees 18 to 20 years old and $5 for those 21 years old and older.
THE RASPY LEMONS AT GRANT’S LOUNGE (9 p.m.)
The Raspy Lemons will be performing covers of classic songs and their original songs at Grant’s on Saturday. The Raspy Lemons is made up of Macon’s Charles Fleming, Cody Kurth, and Britton Seprish. Grant’s Lounge usually has a small cover charge at the door.
DJ T.K.S. AT LIVE AT FORTY FIVE (8 - 11 p.m.)
Hotel Forty Five’s rooftop bar Hightales presents a live DJ set on the second Saturday of each month. This Saturday DJ T.K.S. from Brooklyn will be on deck spinning tunes. According to Hotel Forty Five, DJ T.K.S. will play a mix of genres including dancehall, house, hip-hop, and more.
LITTLE WING EXPERIENCE AT BILLY’S CLUBHOUSE (10 p.m.)
The Little Wing Experience is a band that mix the music of Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Billy’s Clubhouse never has a cover charge.
JBA AND FRESH PRODUCE RECORDS PRESENTS DJ WILLIE D (10 p.m.)
This Saturday, JBA will be enlivened with the electrifying beats of DJ Willie D. Known for his ability to captivate audiences with a diverse array of tracks, he is set to create an unforgettable musical experience for all in attendance.
RAVE NIGHT FEATURING LYLEWIND AT BUFFINGTON’S IN MILLEDGEVILLE (10 p.m.)
Lylewind will be be playing electronic dance music like dubstep, house, and drum n bass at Buffington’s on Saturday. There is no cover charge at Buffington’s.
SUNDAY, February 25th
CLOSING NIGHT OF MACON MUSIC LIVE: ORIGINS AT THE CAPITOL THEATRE (2:30 p.m.)
Macon Music Live: Origins opens on Thursday and will be performed on Friday (6:30 p.m.), Saturday (1:30 and 7 p.m.), and Sunday. This musical show pays tribute to Macon’s musical history and is presented by Grant’s Lounge and 100.9 The Creek. Tickets for Macon Music Live: Origins start at $15 online at this link.
