FOOD CHRONICLES: Braddock's Cask & Table Bringing Another Upscale Dining Establishment to Downtown Macon
I recently enjoyed a visit to the newest restaurant in Downtown Macon, Braddock's Cask & Table. I noticed the pleasing ambiance, well presented food, and friendly attention and service from the restaurant's servers and even the chef.
While the restaurant is now in a soft opening, they are planning a grand opening around July 19th or 20th, according to a recent post on their Facebook page.
The restaurant's current menu that will likely be changing after the grand opening. The menu currently includes shrimp cocktail, lamb lollipops, crispy duck wings, salads, chicken florentine, a tenderloin filet, salmon picatta, and more.
I ordered a small plate for my meal, the Mushroom Costini. It consisted of gourmet mushroom, thyme, crème fraîche, and microgreens. The bread was crispy, the vegetables well seasoned, and the presentation aesthetically pleasing, and I was pleased with my choice from the menu.
One of the diners in my party ordered the Tango's Burger, which included 8 ounces of something called Beefalo (Wagyu and Bison!) as well as aged cheddar, leek, butter, bourbon bacon jam, pickles, a pretzel bun, and sunny egg or mushroom add ons.
One of our party did receive a pork chop that was not cooked to their specifications, which was the only slight negative I noticed during our visit. The chef quickly cooked up another pork chop though and all ended well.
The restaurant is currently mostly taking reservations during their soft opening stage, and ask that diners reach out to them on through Facebook Messenger to make a reservation. Braddock's is currently open from Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Braddock's Cask & Table is located at 347 Cotton Avenue in Downtown Macon.
