On Saturday, January 28th a Park Ranger will present a free talk at the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park about the ancient history of the Mississippian mound builders and older civilizations that came before them.

The Park Ranger will discuss the four prehistoric cultures who lived in the Macon Plateau, who their descendants are today, and how their stories continue to shape the park.

The Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park often hosts free events for park visitors. It is hoped that the park will be designated a National Park later this year.
